SKY EXPLORER & 360° VIEWS (EASY)

Begin your adventure in a beautifully restored plantation house originally built in the 1700s. The museum inside tells the powerful story of Trace Wilson, born into slavery on the property in 1818, and her direct descendant, Emilio Wilson. Learn about plantation life, customs, traditions, and the rich history that earned Sint Maarten the nickname ‘The Friendly Island.’

After a brief orientation, embark on the Sky Explorer chairlift for a 25-minute ride to the top of Sentry Hill, St. Maarten’s highest elevation at 1,125 feet. Enjoy a series of platforms encircling the mountaintop, offering 360-degree views of the entire island and neighboring islands such as Saba, St. Eustatius, St. Barts, and Anguilla.
